#30 – Do More By Doing Less

In today’s world we are rewarded and encouraged to do more, be more, achieve more. Downtime and leisure are regarded as luxuries with an undertone of laziness and lack of drive. If you want to be successful, you can’t waste time doing nothing.

This drives us to work more, sleep less, train harder, and always feel productive. Social media only serves to heighten this paranoia by funneling everyone to think about life through the filter of “how can I share this moment to get the most attention”

So how can we stop this slide into constantly being amused? Three things – Prioritize sleep, stillness/mindfulness, and physical hobbies.

Sure these aren’t going to make you instagram famous of a millionaire, but they are the only want to live a full and contented life. Totally not sexy, I get it. But that’s how your body and brain works!
